Celebrating 40 years since it first opened in London’s West End, Jesus Christ Superstar is currently touring the UK as a never seen before live arena tour. The show will be filmed on 5th October in Birmingham and released theatrically in Australian cinemas on November 8th, 2012 for one week only.

This new incarnation of Jesus Christ Superstar features Australia’s own Tim Minchin as Judas Iscariot, former Spice Girl Melanie C as Mary Magdalene and Ben Forster making his stage debut as Jesus – following a UK televised search by Lloyd Webber to find the perfect fit for this seminal role.
