FENDI Chairman and CEO Pietro Beccari together with Karl Lagerfeld and Silvia Venturini Fendi and the representatives of the City of Rome, including the Mayor Gianni Alemanno, today announce FENDI’s sponsorship of the restoration of one of Rome’s most precious and loved monuments – the Trevi Fountain.
The Italian fashion house boasts deep historical ties with the city of Rome, and has always looked to the city for endless inspiration and cultural stimuli for their runway collections.
The restoration of the Trevi Fountain is the first of a series of conservation interventions which FENDI intends to support through “FENDI for FOUNTAINS” – a project conceived to restore and safeguard historical fountains in the city of Rome including the four late Renaissance Fountains of Piazza Quattro Fontane.
