HARRISON CRAIG
Description:
His name may ring a bell… possibly because he is the winner of 2013’s edition of TV juggernaut The Voice Australia. Melburnian Harrison Craig (born 7 September 1994) conquered judges’ and viewers’ hearts with his sweet boy blue eyes, sparkling smile, humble demeanour and booming, mind blowing voice.
The determined teen is quickly establishing his post-Voice career, announcing an extensive tour kicking off in late September as his debut record More Than A Dream shoots straight to No. 1 on iTunes release June 25th. The ambitious 24-date tour will take in theatres in capital cities and major regional areas from Bendigo to Bathurst until late November.
Craig was coached in the program by British singer Seal (whom he clearly idolises) He has had three songs on the ARIA Singles Chart Top 10 with his cover of “Unchained Melody” reaching No. 2 and his original song, “More Than a Dream”, at No. 3.
A fan of Michael Buble, Josh Groban and Tony Bennett, the 18-year-old describes his music style as Popera (a mix of jazz, classical and contemporary pop). He is very close with his mum and young brother who are a huge support. And have encouraged him to follow his dream to become a singer. Despite suffering from a stutter, the teenager has always remained upbeat and positive, and when he sings, his stutter vanishes as a confident, soulful voice emerges.
