Paul Weller does his bit for Record Store Day

As a proud supporter of the local independent record store former The Jam front man declared a very special release for this year’s Record Store Day.

A double a-side single ‘Flame-Out!’/‘The Olde Original’ will be available as a strictly limited 7" vinyl single on Saturday 20 April. The single comes in a Virgin house bag featuring the ‘Virgin Twins Logo’ designed by Roger Dean.

Undercover.fm is looking forward to Paul Weller’s latest news that we went through the archives to uncover our interview with him.

Paul recorded the brand new tracks especially for the release and said, “It’s great to do a record that’s released specifically for Record Store Day. There’s so few record shops left that we should all treasure those remaining.”

You can only pick up the 7" vinyl release at participating independent record shops from Saturday 20 April and copies are strictly limited – once they’re gone, they’re gone. But wait! There’s good news for Weller fans who live in the 21st century – the ‘Flame-Out!’/‘The Olde Original’ single will also be released digitally. You’ll be able to download the single worldwide for one month only from Sunday 21 April.

Paul stopped by the most famous independent record store in the world, Amoeba Music, recently to pick out some of his favourite albums from the racks.
